Dr Jonathan Moodie

Dr Jonathan Moodie is a highly qualified and dedicated Consultant Ophthalmologist and Eye Specialist who provides comprehensive eye care services. With a primary focus on general ophthalmology and medical retina, Dr Moodie is committed to delivering patient-centred care that helps individuals maintain and improve their vision. Dr Moodie obtained his primary medical degree, a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB), in the United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (FRANZCO). He began his career in ophthalmology in 2003 at a regional hospital in Cornwall, before relocating to Australia in 2014. His extensive postgraduate training includes positions at several major ophthalmic centres and teaching hospitals in both the United Kingdom and Australia, including a leading eye and ear hospital in Melbourne and a major metropolitan hospital.

Dr Moodie has focused on developing his sub-specialty expertise in medical retina and uveitis, completing fellowship training in these fields across both the United Kingdom and Australia. His clinical practice is predominantly dedicated to medical retina, where he specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex retinal conditions. Dr Moodie provides advanced care for patients experiencing age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and other retinal disorders, utilising the latest evidence-based treatments to achieve the best possible visual outcomes.
