Dr John Schneider

Dr John Schneider is an esteemed Consultant Occupational Physician and General Practitioner who specialises in the field of Occupational Medicine. With a focus on supporting both employers and employees, Dr Schneider is dedicated to managing workplace health, safety, and rehabilitation. His clinical approach is highly collaborative and reassuring, aiming to facilitate safe return-to-work pathways and promote long-term physical well-being across various industrial sectors.

His clinical interests are diverse, with a particular focus on occupational health within rural and remote worksites, notably in the mining and agricultural industries. Dr Schneider possesses expertise in workplace rehabilitation, ergonomics, and managing the physiological challenges of working in hot environments. Alongside his clinical work, he has a passion for medical education, having previously worked as an academic lecturer and Associate Professor to train the next generation of healthcare professionals in occupational health practices.

Dr Schneider completed his medical training at the University of Queensland, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. He subsequently obtained a Graduate Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety from Curtin University. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and a Fellow of the Irish Faculty of Occupational Medicine, where he has also served as an examination committee member. Furthermore, Dr Schneider holds professional memberships with the Australian College of Tropical Medicine and the Safety Institute of Australia.
