Dr John Ruberry

Dr John Ruberry is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-focussed care. With a strong belief in evidence-based medicine, he works closely with individuals and families to support their long-term health and well-being. Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Ruberry pursued a diverse professional path. He initially completed a degree in electrical engineering and spent time serving in the air force, experiences that provided him with a unique perspective and valuable life skills. Driven by a desire for greater human interaction and the rewarding nature of helping others, he transitioned to the medical field to provide comprehensive community care.

Dr Ruberry completed his medical training at The University of Queensland, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from the same institution. Demonstrating his commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing professional development, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

In his daily practice, Dr Ruberry manages a broad range of general health concerns, with a particular focus on preventative medicine and chronic disease management. His clinical interests span child and adolescent health, mental health, and diabetes management. Additionally, he provides specialised support in sexual health, including PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis), and offers travel vaccinations to help patients prepare safely for overseas journeys.
