Dr John Mooney

Dr John Mooney is a Cardiologist with a focus on evidence-based care and cardiac imaging to aid in the diagnosis and management of a wide variety of cardiac conditions.

Dr Mooney's previous experience as an intensive care nurse provided them with a valuable understanding of multidisciplinary teamwork, grassroots-level healthcare, the management of critically ill patients, and the importance of preventative medicine.

Dr Mooney completed their medical degree, Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery, at the University of Sydney. They are a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Dr Mooney also completed a research fellowship and PhD in clinical epidemiology, focusing on cardiovascular outcomes after non-cardiac surgery.
