Dr Christopher Yu

Dr Christopher Yu is a Cardiologist with specialist expertise in cardio-oncology and advanced cardiac imaging.

Alongside his clinical role, Dr Yu serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto and is also a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney.

Dr Yu completed his medical degree (MBBS) and an honours Bachelor of Science in Cardiovascular Science at Imperial College London. He subsequently undertook internship and residency training within the Oxford Deanery in the United Kingdom before relocating to Australia for advanced physician and cardiology training with NSW Health.

He later completed a PhD in cardio-oncology and advanced cardiac imaging at the University of Sydney, supported by National Health and Medical Research Council and National Breast Cancer Foundation postgraduate scholarships.

Dr Yu’s clinical and research interests focus on cardio-oncology, multimodality cardiac imaging and the cardiovascular management of patients undergoing cancer treatment. His work integrates advanced imaging techniques with evidence-based cardiovascular care to support early diagnosis, risk assessment and long-term cardiac health in complex patient populations.
