Dr John Howell

Dr John Howell is a dedicated and highly experienced General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a compassionate approach to medicine, he is committed to supporting individuals and families through all stages of their health journeys. He focuses on proactive and preventative healthcare, ensuring that each patient receives personalised attention tailored to their unique medical needs.

Dr Howell completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 1984. To further expand his clinical expertise, he went on to obtain a Diploma of Obstetrics (DRANZCOG) in 1998. He has been practising general medicine in the Geelong region since 1990, establishing himself as a trusted General Practitioner.

Throughout his career, Dr Howell has developed a broad range of clinical interests, spanning family care, paediatrics, and geriatric medicine. He is also highly skilled in managing skin diseases, ear, nose, and throat (ENT) conditions, as well as addressing specific aspects of both men's and women's health. Outside of his medical practice, Dr Howell values quality time with his family and is passionate about music, regularly participating as a singer in a local choir.
