Dr John Chu

Dr John Chu is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, holistic healthcare to patients of all ages. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on preventative medicine, patient education, and long-term health management. Dr Chu is committed to delivering high-quality medical care, ensuring that each individual receives personalised attention tailored to their unique health needs.

Dr Chu completed his medical studies at the University of New South Wales, graduating with honours in 1998. Following his graduation, he completed his internship and residency training at major regional hospitals, gaining extensive clinical exposure. He furthered his postgraduate training by obtaining a Diploma of Child Health from a leading paediatric hospital and holds a Certificate of Dermoscopy. Dr Chu is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and actively contributes to the medical community as a mentor in their mentoring programme.

Throughout his career, Dr Chu has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. He is highly skilled in family medicine, aged care, and paediatrics, offering supportive care for patients at every stage of life. His clinical focus also extends to men's health, antenatal shared care, and skin cancer management, including performing skin excisions. Additionally, he is experienced in minor clinical procedures, such as Implanon insertion, providing comprehensive and accessible care within the community.
