Dr John Carter

Dr John Carter is a dedicated and highly reassuring General Practitioner who provides comprehensive healthcare to patients in Banyo, Australia. He prides himself on being a true generalist, comfortable with managing the wide range of health problems and conditions that patients encounter in daily life. Dr Carter completed his medical training at the University of Queensland, where he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He subsequently attained a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Committed to continuous professional development, he has also completed a Master of Medicine (MMed) in General Practice and holds advanced Diplomas in Skin Cancer Dermoscopy. He qualified and commenced practising in 1996.

In his clinical practice, Dr Carter has developed a strong focus on general medicine, chronic disease management, and preventative health. He is highly skilled in performing minor procedures, including skin lesion biopsies, the excision of skin lesions, and the insertion and removal of contraceptive implants.
