Dr Joel Aizenstros

Dr Joel Aizenstros is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist who provides comprehensive, compassionate mental health care. With a focus on understanding each patient's unique circumstances, he delivers tailored treatment plans designed to support long-term mental well-being. Dr Aizenstros is dedicated to fostering a reassuring and collaborative environment, ensuring that patients feel heard and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

His clinical expertise spans a diverse range of psychiatric conditions, with a particular focus on adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, and anxiety disorders. Dr Aizenstros also possesses specialised knowledge in neuropsychiatry, sleep disorders, pain management, and liaison psychiatry. Additionally, he is experienced in older persons psychiatry, allowing him to address the complex mental health needs of patients across various stages of adulthood. His clinical practice is informed by ongoing research, particularly regarding the bidirectional relationship between sleep disorders, inattention, and psychiatric conditions.

Dr Aizenstros completed his medical training at the University of Melbourne, where he earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1991. He furthered his academic pursuits at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Medicine in Psychiatry. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice, he is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
