Dr Joanna Emanuel

Dr Joanna Emanuel is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a clinical philosophy focused on treating the "whole" person, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life. Her reassuring and professional approach ensures that patients feel heard, valued, and empowered in managing their health and well-being.

Dr Emanuel completed her medical degree at Otago University in 1993, graduating with Honours across all subjects and as the Top Graduate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She went on to obtain a postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics from the University of New South Wales in 1997. Committed to maintaining the highest standards of primary care, she also successfully completed her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Throughout her career, Dr Emanuel has gained extensive experience across diverse clinical settings, including major paediatric and general hospitals, as well as specialised community health centres. This broad background has equipped her with deep expertise in managing complex health needs, including drug and alcohol addiction and sexual health medicine. Her clinical interests span paediatric care, mental health, women's health, and preventative medicine. She is also passionate about complementary therapies and anti-ageing medicine, integrating these approaches to help patients achieve optimal long-term health.
