Dr Jimmy Lam

Dr Jimmy Lam is a highly qualified and respected Consultant Urologist who specialises in providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a focus on minimally invasive techniques, Dr Lam is dedicated to delivering advanced surgical solutions that support optimal patient recovery and long-term health. He is widely recognised for his compassionate approach, ensuring that patients feel fully supported, informed, and reassured throughout their treatment journey.

As a pioneer in minimally invasive urological surgery, Dr Lam has introduced several advanced surgical techniques to his field. His clinical expertise spans a broad range of urological conditions, with a particular focus on robotic-assisted surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and laser treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia. He has been at the forefront of utilising state-of-the-art technologies, such as GreenLight laser therapy and Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate, to provide highly effective, low-risk alternatives to traditional surgical methods. His practice also encompasses the diagnosis and management of urological cancers, including prostate, bladder, and renal cancers.

Dr Lam completed his medical education at the University of New South Wales, graduating with Honours in 1996. He went on to achieve his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. Committed to continuous professional development, he completed advanced fellowship training in laparoscopic surgery and undertook an international preceptorship in laparoscopic urology.
