Dr Kiarash Taghavi

Dr Kiarash Taghavi is a Paediatric Surgeon.

Dr Taghavi graduated from the University of Otago before completing Paediatric Surgical training under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. Throughout their training, they worked at centres of excellence across Australia and New Zealand. They have also visited surgical centres in the UK and Europe. Following their training, they completed post-fellowship work in Paediatric Urology at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.

Dr Taghavi has extensive experience in research and education. They have published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and nine book chapters. They have also completed post-graduate diplomas in surgical anatomy, paediatrics and clinical education.

Dr Taghavi is a member of a number of professional bodies and is an editor for the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, and Frontiers in Urology.
