Dr Jessica Lai

Dr Jessica Lai is a highly dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist who is passionate about providing comprehensive, holistic, and reassuring care to her patients. Understanding the profound impact that chronic health conditions can have on daily life, she is committed to working collaboratively with individuals to develop personalised treatment pathways. Her patient-centred approach ensures that patients are fully informed and actively involved in every decision regarding their health and well-being.

Dr Lai completed her undergraduate medical degree at Bond University, obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. She then undertook her Physician's training at a major teaching hospital in South Western Sydney, followed by advanced subspecialty training in endocrinology. Committed to academic excellence, she has also earned a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education and a Master of Medicine in Ophthalmic Science. Dr Lai is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and maintains active professional memberships with the Endocrine Society of Australia and the European Society of Endocrinology.

In her clinical practice, Dr Lai provides expert consultations for a diverse range of general endocrinology concerns. She has a particular clinical interest in complex menopause management and young adult diabetes. Demonstrating her leadership in the field, she established a dedicated Young Adult Diabetes clinic at a local teaching hospital in 2020, which provides specialised support for young people transitioning through their diabetes care.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Lai is deeply involved in medical education and research. She serves as a Conjoint Lecturer affiliated with a leading university and has previously worked as a Clinical Superintendent for a Physician's Training Unit. She regularly contributes her time to teaching and examining medical students, ensuring the next generation of medical professionals is equipped with high-quality clinical skills.
