Dr Jean Ong

Dr Jean Ong is a dedicated and highly qualified General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a holistic approach to family medicine, she is committed to supporting patients of all ages and backgrounds. As a versatile General Practitioner, Dr Ong has developed extensive expertise in several key areas of medicine. She is particularly passionate about women's and reproductive health, offering specialised services such as contraception advice, contraceptive implant insertions and removals, and menstrual and menopause support. As an accredited GP Obstetrician, she provides comprehensive pregnancy and early pregnancy care, including antenatal shared care. Her clinical interests also extend to child health and paediatrics, sexual health, chronic disease management, and iron infusions. Additionally, she is skilled in performing thorough skin checks, utilising her advanced training in skin cancer medicine and dermoscopy.

Dr Ong completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2008, alongside a Bachelor of Science. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. To further her clinical skills, she obtained an Advanced Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and completed the Sydney Child Health Programme through the University of New South Wales. Her commitment to dermatological care is reflected in her Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Certificate of Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Furthermore, she is accredited by Sexual Health Victoria to train other Medical Practitioners.
