Dr Jason Maher

Dr Jason Maher is a dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare. Dr Maher completed his medical degree at the University of Newcastle in 2016, followed by his residency in the Hunter region. He then undertook specialist General Practice training, achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to his medical career, Dr Maher built an extensive clinical foundation working as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner, during which he also earned a Master's Degree. This diverse background in nursing and medicine enhances his clinical expertise and deepens his understanding of patient care.

In his daily practice, Dr Maher manages a broad spectrum of medical conditions, with a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and chronic disease management. His clinical interests encompass family medicine, children and adolescent health, men's health, and women's health, including cervical screenings and contraception procedures. He is also highly skilled in providing mental health support, sexual health services, skin checks, minor surgical procedures, and travel vaccinations.
