Dr Janani Mahadeva

Dr Janani Mahadeva is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who is passionate about providing holistic, empathetic, and patient-centred care. She enjoys all aspects of General Practice, working closely with individuals and families to support their long-term health and well-being. Her clinical approach is grounded in understanding each patient's unique needs, ensuring they feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Mahadeva focuses on key areas of primary care, including chronic disease management, mental health, and paediatrics. She is also actively involved in sexual and reproductive health, as well as preventive health strategies. Her commitment to comprehensive care allows her to manage complex health conditions while promoting proactive wellness and healthy lifestyle choices for patients of all ages.

Dr Mahadeva graduated with her medical degree from the University of Sydney and holds a Diploma in Child Health. She completed her basic physician training at a major metropolitan hospital before transitioning into general practice. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators. In addition to her clinical work, she holds a prominent academic role as an Associate Professor in Primary Care, contributes to medical education, and serves as a National Lead Medical Educator.
