Dr James Wong is a highly respected Ophthalmologist and Medical Retina Specialist who is dedicated to providing patients with exceptional eye care. He specialises in the diagnosis and management of complex retinal and macular disorders, utilising advanced diagnostic technologies and evidence-based treatments. Dr Wong completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1995. He went on to undertake his specialist training in ophthalmology at a major tertiary eye hospital in Sydney. To further refine his expertise, he completed prestigious post-graduate fellowships in the United Kingdom, focusing on medical retina and uveitis at a world-renowned ophthalmic hospital in London. Additionally, he was awarded a Master of Medicine for his laboratory research into age-related macular degeneration. Dr Wong is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Retina Specialists.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Wong is actively involved in clinical research and medical education. He serves as a Clinical Lecturer in ophthalmology and has contributed significantly to the scientific community as a principal investigator in international clinical trials evaluating novel therapies for retinal diseases.
