Dr James Walter

Dr James Walter is a compassionate and dedicated General Practitioner who is committed to providing inclusive, holistic, and patient-centred care. He believes in working collaboratively with his patients to support informed decision-making about their health, ensuring that every individual feels seen, valued, and respected. His practice is built on a foundation of empathy, with a strong focus on addressing the physical, mental, and social well-being of those under his care.

With a diverse clinical background, Dr Walter has developed key areas of interest that allow him to deliver comprehensive primary healthcare. He has a particular focus on general medicine, mental health, and men's health. Additionally, he is highly dedicated to sexual health, including HIV treatment and prevention, as well as the provision of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). His involvement with diverse communities has also shaped his commitment to delivering equitable and supportive healthcare, particularly within LGBTIQA+ health services.

Dr Walter obtained his Bachelor of Medical Sciences (BMedSci) and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Edinburgh, UK, graduating in 2010. Following his graduation, he completed his postgraduate medical training in London, UK. He holds professional memberships as a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in the United Kingdom and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in Australia.
