Dr James St John Cookman is a highly dedicated and reassuring General Practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. As a General Practitioner, he is committed to fostering long-term relationships with his patients, helping them navigate their health journeys with confidence and peace of mind.

Throughout his career, Dr St John Cookman has developed a broad range of clinical interests within family medicine. He specialises in preventative health, chronic disease management, and immunisation. He has a particular interest in diabetes management, recognising the crucial role that General Practice plays in leading the care for this complex condition. Additionally, he is a strong advocate for community health, focusing on preventative measures such as influenza vaccinations to protect both individual patients and the wider community.

Dr St John Cookman completed his medical training, earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB BS). To further expand his clinical expertise, he also obtained a Diploma of the Royal Australian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DipRACOG). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting his commitment to maintaining the highest standards of general practice. In addition to his clinical work, he has held significant leadership roles within the medical community, including serving as the President of the ACT Division of General Practice and as a Medical Director of Medical Centres.
