In addition to his work in primary care, he serves as a Dermatology Registrar, allowing him to bring advanced expertise in skin health and dermatology to his patients. He is affiliated with the Melanoma Institute Australia and the University of Sydney, where he contributes to advancing the field of dermatology. Notably, he serves as the Co-ordinating Principal Investigator for the "One Million Skin Checks" study, a pioneering research project investigating the feasibility of integrating teledermatology and artificial intelligence into general practice to improve skin cancer detection and management.

Dr Koutsis completed his medical training and holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). He is a registered Medical Practitioner in Australia and is committed to continuous professional development.
