Dr Jacqueline Veera

Dr Jacqueline Veera is a highly dedicated Radiation Oncologist who specialises in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to patients navigating a cancer diagnosis. With a clinical focus on Radiation Oncology, she is committed to designing personalised treatment programmes that utilise advanced technology to target cancer cells while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. Dr Veera works collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive, supportive, and highly coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.

Throughout her career, Dr Veera has developed extensive expertise in managing a diverse range of malignancies. Her primary areas of clinical interest include genitourinary, gynaecological, breast, gastrointestinal, lung, and skin cancers. She is particularly passionate about the integration of advanced imaging techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), to improve the precision of external beam radiotherapy and brachytherapy. By focusing on precise target volume delineation, she aims to optimise treatment outcomes and minimise side effects for her patients.

Dr Veera completed her medical training, earning her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She successfully completed her specialist examinations in 2012, subsequently undertaking advanced fellowship training and pursuing postgraduate Master's studies to further refine her clinical skills. She is a recognised Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Veera is actively involved in clinical research and education, contributing to peer-reviewed publications aimed at advancing radiotherapy planning and treatment techniques.
