Dr Jack Heron is a highly dedicated Consultant Nephrologist who provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing a wide range of kidney-related conditions. As a specialist Renal Physician, he is committed to delivering personalised, evidence-based treatment plans that focus on preserving kidney function and improving overall patient well-being. Dr Heron manages all stages of kidney disease, offering compassionate support and expert guidance to help patients navigate their health journeys.

With a broad scope of practice, Dr Heron has particular clinical interests in chronic kidney disease, kidney inflammation (nephritis), and recurrent kidney stones. He is highly experienced in managing complex hypertension, particularly early-onset and resistant forms, as well as addressing proteinuria (protein in the urine). Additionally, Dr Heron provides expert care for patients requiring dialysis, including both peritoneal and blood-based dialysis, and offers comprehensive assessments for kidney transplant donors and recipients, ensuring thorough preparation and long-term post-transplant management.

Dr Heron completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales, undertaking his final clinical years through a regional clinical school. Following his graduation, he completed his internship and residency, followed by advanced Specialist Physician training in Nephrology, at several prominent tertiary teaching hospitals.
