Dr Jacinta Carty

Dr Jacinta Carty is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on preventative health and holistic well-being, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life. Dr Carty is known for her reassuring and professional approach, ensuring that her patients feel heard, supported, and empowered to make informed decisions about their health.

Dr Carty began her academic journey at Monash University, where she completed a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. She then pursued her medical training at the University of Melbourne, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with honours in 2011. To further her expertise, she completed a Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney and a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2014. Dr Carty is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and gained valuable clinical experience working as a Junior Doctor across several major metropolitan health services and women's hospitals.

In her clinical practice, Dr Carty has developed a particular interest in women's and children's health. She is a certified Shared Obstetric Care Provider, offering comprehensive preconception counselling, antenatal and postnatal care, and perinatal mental health support. Her expertise also extends to managing menstrual issues, menopause, contraception, and performing procedures such as Implanon insertion and removal. Additionally, she is highly skilled in paediatric care, assisting families with general childhood illnesses, immunisations, and the management of unsettled babies.
