Dr Irandani Ranasinghe-Markus

Dr Irandani Ranasinghe-Markus, also known to her patients as Dr Bambi Markus, is a compassionate and highly skilled General Practitioner. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare to individuals and families at all stages of life. With a reassuring and professional approach, she focuses on building strong, collaborative relationships with her patients to support their long-term health and well-being.

Her clinical interests span a wide range of general medicine, with a particular focus on women's health, antenatal care, and paediatric medicine, including child health and immunisation. As a registered Shared Antenatal Care Provider, she works closely with expectant mothers and specialist obstetric teams to deliver coordinated and supportive care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal period. Additionally, she is highly experienced in chronic disease management, mental health, and perinatal mental health, ensuring a holistic approach to both physical and emotional wellness.

Dr Ranasinghe-Markus completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of the West Indies, qualifying in 1991. She also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and obtained her Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate in 1994. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
