Dr Imasha Perera

Dr Imasha Perera is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Originally from Sri Lanka, she relocated to Australia to continue her medical career, bringing a wealth of diverse clinical experience to her practice. Dr Perera takes great pride in working collaboratively with her patients to address their unique healthcare needs, always striving to foster positive, respectful, and long-lasting relationships.

Dr Perera completed her medical degree (MBBS) and gained valuable experience in Emergency Medicine, which included a dedicated period working in paediatric emergency. During this time, she was awarded a Diploma in Child Health by a leading paediatric hospital network. To further broaden her clinical scope, she embarked on specialist General Practitioner training in 2018 and subsequently achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Perera focuses particularly on women's and children's health. She is highly skilled in family planning and contraception, including the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants. Additionally, she is passionate about supporting families through pregnancy, breastfeeding, and lactation consulting, and she is qualified to provide shared antenatal care. Her holistic approach ensures that patients receive supportive, tailored guidance throughout their healthcare journeys.
