Dr Ian Wong

Dr Ian Wong is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. Guided by a childhood aspiration to serve as a local Family Doctor, he values the opportunity to connect with, listen to, and collaboratively support individuals from all walks of life. He enjoys the full breadth of General Practice, with a particular focus on delivering holistic healthcare that addresses both immediate medical concerns and long-term well-being.

With a diverse clinical background, Dr Wong has developed advanced expertise in several key areas of medicine. He specialises in musculoskeletal medicine, skin cancer care, and men's health. His clinical practice encompasses the thorough assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions, comprehensive skin cancer checks, dermoscopy, and sexual and reproductive health. Dr Wong also emphasises preventative healthcare, working closely with patients to implement strategies that promote healthy lifestyles and prevent chronic illness.

Dr Wong completed his medical degree at the University of Queensland, graduating in 1999. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Committed to continuous professional development, he has completed a Certificate in Musculoskeletal Medicine through the Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine, where he was also appointed as an inaugural Fellow. Additionally, he holds an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and an Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy from the Skin Cancer College Australasia. His further qualifications include a Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the Queensland University of Technology.
