Dr Hunter Wang

Dr. Hunter Wang is a Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist, practising at Sydney Adventist Hospital and Concord Hospital. With extensive training and accreditation in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS. He specialises in the latest advanced endoscopic procedures including endoscopic mucosla resection (EMR), endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), and per oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM), offering patients minimally invasive and organ-preserving therapies.

Dr. Wang's expertise spans a wide range of conditions, including gastrointestinal bleeding, cancers of the bowel (colon), stomach, pancreas and oesophagus, Barrett's oesophagus, complex polyps, pancreaticobiliary diseases, functional gut disorders, and reflux disease. He is committed to early detection and the comprehensive management of these conditions.

His patient approach is holistic, compassionate, and efficient ensuring the best outcomes possible.

After graduating from the University of Sydney, Dr. Wang underwent rigorous training at prominent hospitals in Sydney and Canberra. He further honed his skills through multiple fellowships in advanced endoscopy, notably at Westmead Hospital, renowned for its pioneering work in complex tissue resection and endoluminal therapies, and Shanghai Zhongshan Hospital.

A member of esteemed organisations such as the Gastroenterological Society of Australia, American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Dr. Wang actively contributes to the field. His research contributions have been published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at national and international conferences.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Wang remains committed to medical education, teaching students from the Australian National University at Sydney Adventist Hospital.
