Dr Heidi Rasmussen

Dr Heidi Rasmussen is a dedicated and highly skilled General Practitioner with a deep commitment to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on preventative healthcare, she supports patients through all stages of life, helping them achieve optimal health and well-being. Dr Rasmussen has a particular clinical interest in Women's and Children's Health, offering compassionate and reassuring guidance to families and individuals alike.

Dr Rasmussen completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Science at the Queensland University of Technology in 2006, followed by her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Bond University in 2013. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Prior to embarking on her career as a medical doctor, she worked for several years as a multidiscipline Medical Scientist in various public and private laboratories, gaining invaluable diagnostic insights that enrich her current clinical practice.

Throughout her postgraduate training, Dr Rasmussen undertook advanced training in obstetrics and gynaecology. This specialised experience enables her to offer a wide range of services, including antenatal shared care, preconception counselling, fertility work-ups, and menopause management. She is highly proficient in sexual health services, contraception options, and the provision of medical terminations of pregnancy. Additionally, she performs clinical procedures such as the insertion and removal of intrauterine devices (IUDs) and contraceptive implants, as well as administering iron infusions.
