Dr Graham Meredith

Dr Graham Meredith is a highly qualified Cardiothoracic Surgeon who provides comprehensive care for patients requiring cardiac and thoracic interventions. With a patient-centred approach, he focuses on delivering advanced surgical solutions to manage complex heart and lung conditions. Dr Meredith is dedicated to ensuring his patients receive reassuring, high-quality care throughout their treatment journey, prioritising their safety, comfort, and long-term recovery.

Dr Meredith completed his undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, alongside a Bachelor of Science (Medicine) with Honours in 2006. Following his internship and residency, he undertook training in cardiothoracic surgery, obtaining a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2015. To further refine his expertise, he completed post-fellowship training at a prestigious heart institute in Canada in 2015, concentrating on minimal access cardiac surgery and transcatheter aortic valve implantation.

In his clinical practice, Dr Meredith specialises in adult general cardiac and thoracic surgery. He has a particular interest in minimal access techniques, which allow for smaller incisions, reduced postoperative pain, and quicker recovery times for patients undergoing coronary and valve surgery. His areas of expertise include total arterial revascularisation, minimal access lung resection, pacemaker and defibrillator insertions, and video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery. Additionally, he actively collaborates within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care for patients diagnosed with lung cancer.
