Dr Lim graduated as a Dental Surgeon from Birmingham University in the United Kingdom, where she was honoured with a prestigious award in Paediatric Dentistry. Following her graduation, she gained extensive international and local experience, practising in England and Asia before establishing her clinical presence in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. She is an active member of the Australian Dental Association.
