Dr Gemma O'Leary

Dr Gemma O'Leary is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care to the Toowoomba community. With a strong commitment to family medicine, she supports patients of all ages and backgrounds, ensuring they receive high-quality, personalised healthcare. Dr O'Leary is passionate about preventative medicine and works closely with her patients to help them achieve and maintain optimal health and well-being.

Dr O'Leary completed her medical education at Griffith University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2013. She completed her internship and residency at a major tertiary hospital on the Gold Coast, where she also undertook advanced skills training in paediatrics. In 2020, she was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Committed to rural medicine and child health, she also obtained her Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP) with a focus on paediatrics in 2020, and completed a postgraduate child health programme.

Throughout her career, Dr O'Leary has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, with a particular focus on paediatrics, perinatal care, and women's health. Her extensive training in child health allows her to provide expert care for infants, children, and adolescents. In addition to her work in general practice, she has a wealth of experience in emergency medicine and continues to support rural healthcare services. Her reassuring and professional approach ensures that patients feel supported and empowered throughout their healthcare journey.
