Dr Fariya Kabir

Dr Fariya Kabir is a compassionate and highly skilled General Practitioner who is dedicated to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong focus on family-orientated medicine, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life. Dr Kabir believes in fostering a reassuring and collaborative environment, ensuring that her patients are fully informed and actively involved in their healthcare decisions.

Dr Kabir completed her medical education, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). After graduating, she completed her internship at a prominent hospital in Canberra and subsequently worked as an Emergency Medicine Trainee at regional hospitals in New South Wales. To pursue her passion for community medicine, she undertook specialist General Practice training in the Bathurst region and achieved her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2014.

With a broad clinical background, Dr Kabir has developed key areas of interest that include children's health, family medicine, and women's health. Her early training in emergency medicine equips her to manage acute clinical situations with confidence, while her subsequent experience in dedicated family and women's health clinics has deepened her expertise in preventative care and chronic disease management. She is committed to providing personalised medical support that promotes long-term health and well-being for all her patients.
