Dr Evelyne Cheng

Dr Evelyne Cheng is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care. She enjoys all aspects of general practice and places a strong emphasis on building long-term, trusting relationships with her patients. Her holistic approach ensures that each individual receives comprehensive support tailored to their unique health journey.

With a broad range of clinical interests, Dr Cheng has developed particular expertise in women's health, family planning, and paediatrics. Her clinical capabilities include providing contraceptive advice and procedures, such as intrauterine device (IUD) insertions. She is also passionate about supporting patients through various stages of life, from early childhood development to reproductive health.

Dr Cheng completed her medical degree at Monash University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2009. Committed to advancing her clinical knowledge, she went on to obtain a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine (MPHTM). She also holds an Advanced Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (ADRANZCOG) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Before establishing her practice in Darwin, Dr Cheng gained valuable experience working in private general practice in Melbourne. She further honed her medical skills by working within a major hospital in Darwin and serving as a General Practitioner at a local community health service. Her diverse professional background across both metropolitan and regional healthcare settings enables her to deliver versatile and reassuring care to all her patients.
