Did you know that not every surgeon who calls themselves "Paediatric ENT surgeon" or "Head & Neck Surgeon" actually has formal subspecialty training in those areas? Many are General ENT Surgeons who do some work in those fields.

Dr Eric Levi is a Melbourne-based Otolaryngologist Head & Neck Surgeon who has undergone additional years of subspecialty Fellowship training in Advanced Head & Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and Paediatric Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery in Canada, Brisbane and Auckland.

Dr Levi completed a degree in Psychology, then Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne. He then went into General Surgery training, then on to Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. During residency training he completed Postgraduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy and Master of Public Health & Tropical Medicine. After completing his Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Training he completed 3 subspecialty Fellowships in 3 countries.

Dr Levi majors in airway reconstruction, Head & Neck tumour resection, congenital airway head & neck conditions, salivary gland disease, sleep surgery and complex paediatric surgery. Yet he still enjoys the work of general ENT such as sinus surgery, vocal cord surgery and ear surgery.

He is the Director of Melbourne ENT Airway Clinic, a Consultant Surgeon at St.Vincent's Hospital & The Royal Children's Hospital. He is a member of the Vascular Anomalies Clinic, Drooling Control Clinic, Complex Airway Clinic, Tracheostomy Multidisciplinary Clinic, Laryngology Clinic, Solid Tumour MDT, Head & Neck Cancer MDT. He is a Surgical Supervisor, Executive of Australia New Zealand Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology Society,  Senior Lecturer at The University of Melbourne, Fellow at Murdoch Children's Research Institute, member of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons' Academy of Surgical Educators, Laryngology Society Australia and Australia New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society.
