Dr Elizabeth Clarkson

Dr Elizabeth Clarkson is a dedicated General Practitioner and Rural Generalist who is deeply committed to providing comprehensive healthcare to regional communities. With a strong belief in equal healthcare opportunities for rural areas, she delivers high-quality primary care with a compassionate, patient-centred approach. Dr Clarkson values the unique connection of serving as a local doctor, treating her patients with the utmost clinical diligence and reassurance.

As a versatile medical professional, Dr Clarkson possesses a broad suite of clinical skills. Her areas of interest encompass the diagnostic workup and management of complex and chronic health conditions, including endocrinology, haematology, cardiology, respiratory, and rheumatological conditions. She is highly proficient in performing minor procedures, conducting point-of-care ultrasound (including early pregnancy scans), and managing emergency medicine cases. Her diverse expertise allows her to provide holistic, continuous care to patients of all ages.

Dr Clarkson completed her medical training at The University of Queensland, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2015. She has undertaken extensive postgraduate training to support her work in rural medicine, achieving fellowships with several prestigious medical bodies. She is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Additionally, she holds a Fellowship of Advanced Rural General Practice (FARGP) and has advanced training in Emergency Medicine.
