Dr Elisa Tyson

Dr Elisa Tyson is a highly qualified and dedicated Endocrinologist who provides comprehensive care in all aspects of adult endocrinology. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she specialises in diagnosing and managing complex hormonal and metabolic conditions. Her clinical focus spans a wide range of endocrine disorders, with particular expertise in diabetes, thyroid and pituitary conditions, and osteoporosis. Dr Tyson is committed to delivering personalised treatment plans that support her patients' long-term health and well-being.

Dr Tyson graduated in Medicine with First Class Honours from the University of New South Wales in 1996. Following her primary medical degree, she undertook extensive postgraduate training in Endocrinology at prominent teaching hospitals in Sydney and Newcastle. Driven by a passion for clinical research, she completed her PhD at the University of Newcastle in 2009, where her doctoral research focused on endocrine signalling in the uterus during pregnancy.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Dr Tyson maintains active engagement with the wider medical and scientific community. She is a member of several prestigious professional organisations, including the Endocrine Society of Australia and the Endocrine Society in the United States.
