Dr Elaine Sung

Dr Elaine Sung is a highly regarded General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-focused healthcare. With a warm and reassuring approach, she focuses on building strong, collaborative relationships with her patients to support them through every stage of life. Dr Sung is passionate about evidence-based medicine and patient empowerment, ensuring that individuals are active participants in their own health journeys.

Throughout her career, Dr Sung has developed a diverse range of clinical interests within General Practice. She has a particular focus on women's health, mental health, and child and youth health. Her expertise extends to pregnancy planning and shared maternity care, where she supports patients through pregnancy decision-making, antenatal and postnatal anxiety or depression, and counselling surrounding infertility. Additionally, she is highly skilled in managing chronic and complex health needs, providing personalised care plans tailored to each individual's unique circumstances.

Dr Sung completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney, qualifying with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2003. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Science. Following her graduation, she undertook her initial medical training at a major teaching hospital in Sydney before moving to Melbourne to complete her fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. To further enhance her clinical capabilities, she also completed specialised training in shared maternity care. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and actively participates in continuing professional development to stay at the forefront of general medicine.
