Dr Edward Stephens

Dr Edward Stephens is a dedicated Consultant Physician and Geriatrician who is committed to providing and facilitating optimal care for older patients. His clinical approach is centred around supporting patients, their families, and their General Practitioners with clear, compassionate, and reassuring communication. He focuses on delivering comprehensive care that addresses the unique and complex needs of older individuals, ensuring they receive the highest standard of medical attention.

With expertise spanning all areas of general and geriatric medicine, Dr Stephens has a particular interest in the assessment of multiple concurrent medical problems. His clinical focus includes comprehensive cognitive assessments, delirium, and movement disorders. Additionally, he has a strong interest in supportive and palliative medicine, allowing him to provide holistic care that prioritises the comfort, dignity, and quality of life of his patients during all stages of their health journey.

Dr Stephens completed his medical training, obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc). He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), reflecting his advanced training and expertise in internal medicine and geriatrics. Furthermore, he is an active member of the Australian and New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine, ensuring his practice remains aligned with the latest advancements and clinical guidelines in aged care.
