Dr Deep Jay Kotecha

Dr Deep Jay Kotecha is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred primary care. With a reassuring and professional approach, he supports individuals and families through all stages of life, focusing on preventative medicine and holistic well-being. Dr Kotecha believes in building strong, collaborative relationships with his patients, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and actively involved in their healthcare journeys.

Throughout his career, Dr Kotecha has developed a diverse range of clinical interests, allowing him to deliver highly specialised care within general practice. He has a strong focus on chronic disease management, particularly diabetes care, and has completed advanced training to support patients living with this condition. Additionally, he is highly skilled in sexual and reproductive health, offering comprehensive women's health services such as contraceptive implant insertions, intrauterine device (IUD) insertions and removals, and cervical screening. His broad expertise also encompasses mental health, occupational health, child health, and the administration of iron infusions.

Dr Kotecha obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours (MBChB Hons) alongside a Bachelor of Science with Honours (BSc Hons) from the University of Leeds in 2013. Committed to continuous professional development, he holds a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) from the United Kingdom and has undertaken further postgraduate training in diabetes management at the University of Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Kotecha contributes to the future of the medical profession by tutoring medical students.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr Kotecha enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle and spending quality time with his young family. He is an enthusiastic tennis player and particularly enjoys relaxing at the beach.
