Dr David Kingston

Dr David Kingston is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who provides comprehensive consultation and surgical care for patients experiencing joint pain, nerve symptoms, and musculoskeletal conditions. With a strong focus on evidence-based medicine and patient education, he prioritises shared decision-making to ensure that each patient is actively involved in developing their individualised treatment plan. Dr Kingston is dedicated to delivering a high standard of care, utilising advanced and minimally invasive techniques to help patients achieve optimal recovery and return to their daily activities.

His clinical practice encompasses a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, with a particular interest in hand and wrist surgery, as well as hip and knee replacements. Dr Kingston treats both traumatic and non-traumatic conditions of the hand and wrist, performing reconstructive procedures, joint fusions, arthroscopic surgery, and keyhole carpal tunnel release. He also specialises in robotic-assisted hip and knee replacements, employing the latest advancements in enhanced recovery protocols to support post-operative rehabilitation. Additionally, he provides expert care for bone and soft tissue trauma, working closely with multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams to facilitate recovery.

Dr Kingston completed his undergraduate and medical education at The University of Queensland, where he attained his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Following his graduation, he gained extensive clinical experience working as a Junior Doctor in various regional and metropolitan hospitals. He then undertook comprehensive specialist training in orthopaedic surgery and hand surgery, complemented by advanced international training. Dr Kingston is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. He is also an active member of the Australian Hand Surgery Society, the Queensland Hand Surgery Society, and the Australian Orthopaedic Trauma Society, and serves as a Faculty Member of the AO Trauma Foundation.
