Before settling on the South Coast, Dr Charles gained valuable clinical experience working at a major metropolitan hospital and subsequently practising as a Partner in a Sydney-based General Practice. Since relocating, he has balanced his work as a General Practitioner with roles in accident and emergency medicine as well as anaesthetics at the local hospital. This diverse background has equipped him with a robust set of skills, enabling him to manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions with confidence.

Dr Charles has developed particular clinical interests in diabetes management and skin cancer care. He regularly performs minor surgical procedures, offering patients convenient access to essential treatments. In addition to his clinical duties, Dr Charles is passionate about medical education. He serves as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at a prominent regional university medical school, where he actively supervises and mentors medical students and General Practice Registrars, helping to shape the next generation of healthcare professionals.
