Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Pudney served as a Fighter Pilot with the Royal Australian Air Force, a background that instilled in him a high level of discipline, precision, and calm under pressure. He transitioned to medicine to pursue his passion for community care, subsequently developing advanced skills in rural anaesthesia. As a GP Anaesthetist, he plays a vital role in supporting local healthcare services, combining general practice with specialised anaesthetic care to meet the diverse needs of rural communities.

Dr Pudney completed his medical education at the University of Newcastle, graduating in 2010.
