Dr Craig Schmeider

Dr Craig Schmeider is a highly dedicated General Practitioner who brings a diverse and unique background to his medical practice. Before embarking on his career as a medical doctor, he served as an Army Environmental Health Officer, focusing on public health and preventive medicine. He subsequently worked as an Army Doctor and Environmental Health Officer both within Australia and internationally. This extensive experience in military medicine and public health has shaped his comprehensive approach to patient care, allowing him to deliver thorough and reassuring medical services to individuals from all walks of life.

With a strong commitment to preventive health, Dr Schmeider has developed significant expertise in skin cancer medicine and corporate health. He is particularly passionate about skin cancer detection and management, offering comprehensive skin checks, surgical treatments for skin cancers, and the excision of skin lesions. His clinical interests also extend to occupational medicine, travel medicine, and providing dedicated medical support to veterans. Through his diverse clinical focus, he aims to support his patients in achieving optimal health and well-being.

Dr Schmeider completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland, where he also earned a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer. His academic foundation is further supported by a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Graduate Certificate in Public Health. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013. To complement his clinical skills, Dr Schmeider completed a Certificate of Clinical Occupational Medicine through Monash University and holds an Advanced Clinical Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine. He is also recognised as an accredited skin cancer doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
