Dr Claire Poolman

Dr Claire Poolman is a dedicated and highly qualified General Practitioner who is committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a reassuring and professional approach, she supports individuals and families through all stages of life, addressing a broad spectrum of general health concerns. As a General Practitioner, she focuses on delivering personalised medical care that prioritises the long-term well-being of her patients.

Dr Poolman obtained her medical degree (MB BCh) in South Africa, qualifying in 1995. Committed to advancing her clinical expertise, she has earned several postgraduate qualifications, including a Master of Health Studies in Women's Health from the University of Queensland and a Diploma of Dermatology from the Australian Institute of Dermatology. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in General Practice. Dr Poolman is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM).

In her clinical practice, Dr Poolman has developed key areas of interest, particularly in Women's Health and Mental Health. Her advanced training in dermatology allows her to confidently manage a wide range of skin complaints, perform skin checks, and offer guidance on skin health. Additionally, she provides comprehensive care in areas such as family planning, antenatal care, immunisations, and children's health, ensuring that patients receive holistic and expert medical support.
