Dr Catherine Hayes

Dr Catherine Hayes is a compassionate and highly experienced General Practitioner who is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centred care. She strongly values the continuity of care that General Practice offers, allowing her to build long-term relationships with individuals and families. Dr Hayes aims to support her patients through all stages of life, helping them navigate the physical and mental health challenges that may arise.

Dr Hayes completed her primary medical degree at Newcastle University in New South Wales. Following her graduation, she undertook extensive medical training across New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Australia. To further expand her clinical capabilities, she completed additional postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, as well as Psycho-Oncology.

With a broad clinical focus, Dr Hayes has developed special interests in chronic disease management, mental health, and seniors' health services. Her expertise also encompasses palliative care, bereavement support, and family health. Alongside her work as a General Practitioner, she serves as a Visiting Medical Officer with a regional palliative care service. Outside of her medical practice, Dr Hayes enjoys spending time with her family, taking long walks, listening to music, and participating in local theatre.
