Dr Cara Frame

Dr Cara Frame is a highly dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a career spanning several decades, she has developed a deep expertise in supporting diverse communities and delivering holistic healthcare. Dr Frame is particularly passionate about family medicine, focusing on the health and well-being of patients at all stages of life. Her reassuring and thorough approach ensures that patients feel heard and supported throughout their healthcare journey.

Throughout her extensive career, Dr Frame has cultivated a strong interest in several key areas of medicine, including women's health, pregnancy, and reproductive health. She is highly experienced in antenatal shared care, working closely with expectant mothers and their families to support them through pregnancy and the postnatal period. Additionally, she has a profound interest in paediatrics, child and youth health, and sexual health. Her commitment to community-controlled, multidisciplinary healthcare is reflected in her extensive background in Indigenous health, where she has worked collaboratively to improve primary care access and health outcomes.

Dr Frame completed her medical training and graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 1983. Committed to continuous professional development, she went on to obtain a Diploma in Child Health (DCH) to further her expertise in paediatric care. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Frame is a passionate Medical Educator and GP Supervisor, contributing to the training of future medical professionals. She also serves as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and contributes her expertise to state-level clinical working groups.
