Dr Brian McLaughlin

Dr Brian McLaughlin is a General Practitioner practising at MyClinic Melbourne in Melbourne, Victoria. He completed his medical degree at University College Dublin, National University of Ireland, and subsequently undertook a four-year General Practice training programme in Waterford, Ireland, leading to Membership of the Irish College of General Practitioners. His postgraduate training included rotations in emergency medicine, geriatrics, paediatrics, psychiatry, and a placement as a team doctor with the Football Association of Ireland.

In addition to his medical degree, Dr McLaughlin holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Medical Science. He has developed broad clinical experience across a range of healthcare settings and provides comprehensive primary care for patients with diverse healthcare needs.

Following completion of his training, Dr McLaughlin relocated to Australia in 2008. Since then, he has worked in a variety of metropolitan, regional, and remote settings, including locum positions throughout Tasmania, New South Wales, and Western Australia, as well as providing care to remote communities in the Northern Territory through the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Dr McLaughlin's clinical interests include travel medicine, general medicine, family medicine, paediatric medicine, sports and injury management, sexual and reproductive health, HIV prevention through pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), Implanon contraception, vaccination, weight management, and mental health and wellbeing.
