Dr Arshad Barmare is a Melbourne-based orthopaedic surgeon. His private practice focuses on joint replacement, sports injuries, and trauma, and he has a special interest in arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of joint conditions such as:
- Knee ACL tears
- Shoulder Dislocations and labral tears,
- Rotator cuff tears,

Dr Barmare trained in India and earned his degree in 1992. He then undertook advanced orthopaedic training in Singapore and Australia and obtained a master's degree in orthopaedics from the National University of Singapore in 2005. In 2010, he gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and he was elected as a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association in 2014. Additionally, he is a certified independent medical examiner by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.

Dr. Arshad was very clear in the information he provided me regarding the issue i had. He examined me well. He also advised me of the possible outcomes due to lack of self care and also proposed solutions to tackle them.

I'm still going through the process of my injury with Dr. Ashard, but my overall experience so far is amazing. He explains everything very well listens to what I have to say as well. I'm hanging to find out when my surgery will be to sort of get my hip fixed but I'm sure he will manage it in the best way possible

Review for doctor Dr Arshad Barmare is most definitely the most intellectual, empathetic unassuming Doctor/Surgeon I have ever encountered over 60 years! Without X-rays he immediately diagnosed me!! This man is a medical genius!! An obviously busy Surgeon, Mr. Barmare actually communicated with me via email & phone after my consultation & the following week. This is unheard of in today’s medical profession. One seldom hears of this….& believe me, I have encountered hundreds. Mr. Barmare attended to my broken limb IMMEDIATELY… within 1 hour after my consultation, he arranged emergency X-rays, and professionals to fit my broken limb (at my private home ). This clearly demonstrates that he CARES….. Mr. Barmare gave me sufficient time, and treated me respectfully, with great dignity and benevolence… Extremely impressive… Without a doubt the best Surgeon/Doctor I have ever encountered.
