Dr Anthony Hutton

Urologist Dr Hutton has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery and specialises in robotics and advanced laparoscopy for the kidney and prostate. His areas of expertise include urinary tract infections, incontinence, neurourology, sexual dysfunction, circumcision (16+ years), kidney stones, benign prostate enlargement, and haematuria. Dr Hutton was recently recognised as a 'Surgeon of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Urology' by the Surgical Review Corporation.

Dr Hutton earned his medical degree in 1999 from the University of Newcastle before training in urology in Sydney. He then relocated to the UK to undertake a fellowship in advanced laparoscopy at the Royal Surrey County Hospital guided by a world-renowned expert in laparoscopic radical prostatectomy. Dr Hutton is currently one of the few urologists in NSW who is able to offer this procedure. Following this, he went on to pursue a further robotic fellowship at St George's Hospital, London, a high-volume centre servicing the South-West.

Dr Hutton remains actively involved in teaching and lectures at St George Clinical School as well as a conjoint lecturer at the University of NSW. He is also the training supervisor for urology registrars at St George Hospital.
