Dr Ann Ellacott

Clinical Associate Professor Dr Ann Ellacott is a highly respected and dedicated General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a career spanning several decades, she has established herself as a trusted medical professional committed to supporting the health and well-being of her local community. Dr Ellacott takes a holistic and reassuring approach to family medicine, ensuring that patients of all ages receive evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.

Throughout her distinguished career, Dr Ellacott has developed a diverse range of clinical interests. In addition to providing high-quality General Practice services, she has a strong focus on aged care, sexual assault medicine, and forensic medicine. Her dedication to community health and her exceptional contributions to the medical field were formally recognised when she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her service to medicine, community health, and education.

Dr Ellacott completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Sydney, graduating in 1978. Committed to continuous professional development, she also holds a Master of Forensic Medicine and a Graduate Certificate in Medical Education. Alongside her clinical work, she is deeply passionate about training the next generation of healthcare professionals, serving as a Clinical Associate Professor and Tutor at the University of Wollongong's Graduate School of Medicine.
